    Hi Guy's ,

we can be assured at the end of the working week most boats are being manufactured in a back street of China by chinese workers , & guest workers from poor parts of Asia earning a bag full of rice for their services - even the more desired boats , the fact they are said to have input by experienced racers that are sitting in their comfortable homes in western country's does not add shine !! . The reason i can say this as i have seen it with my own eyes when i lived in Taiwan , just ask the Philippine guest workers of their conditions in Koahsiung TW !! . BG

Guy's that put r/c boats together , even the more desired !!!

Guy's that work 60 hours a week for around $ 100 U.S , it would be good if we can get word to them regarding the fine work they do preparing our boats that enjoy so much !!! - no matter what brand .....

Maybe there should be some type of fair trading scheme , such as what goes on with coffee production in poorer countries such as nations in South America ??

I fully disagree that the fact that the boats have input from experienced racers does not add "shine". Simply because the mold will be correctly made for a well performing boat. Not a pool toy with no engineering behind it. Also, I see no scam here. As long as someone is making their own order with their own separate transaction, how are they being scammed? Other than paying hard earned money for a turd?

Yes its not a scam. The discount on the swarm is over $30 and its worthy. Its kinda similar to bulk buying where the unit price is lower if several items are bought at the same time......

A scam would be dishonest and deceiving. The conditions of the swarm are pretty clear. If people want to get on forums to get other people to participate in the swarm, that's their decision and they were not forced to. In fact they are benefiting from bulk prices for individual purchase.....

Also if its a scam from HK, they would not be doing business successfully for such a long time.....

Concerning the quality until someone write with first hand experience all the criticisms (good and bad) would be mainly assumptions, guesses and prejudices......

Of course one should not expect Stilletto quality and performance for the price..... They are in separate leagues. Having said that for the price it looks a good deal.......

This dude wants you to go out and drum up business for him and hit all of the forum sites to get others in on the "deal" so those suckers are making threads to get more people in.
Do you really think that you're getting a bargain? A Radio Shack or Nikko boat would have more of a life on the water than this thing. Steve would be doing you all a big favor by deleting the whole thing.
Now I just want to sit back and watch the crying once just one person gets screwed over.
Hey Ron, thanks for the heads up over at RCU

It is a scam. The guy on page 1 on this thread said something about it and I looked into it and found someone here started one that got the 6 people signed up including me. I spoke to another guy via PM and neither of us got the e-mail from HK with info on how to get that price.

Seems pretty shady on HKs part anyway.

what is the scam? won't hk collect the money, once 6 people sign up, and then fill the orders at the reduced price? and who is stealing? is it hobby king? after all, i dont think that the buyer initiating the swarm collects the money from the others. hobby king must. also i would guess if the swarm does not accumulate 6 takers, it's not happening....

No one lost any money at all, they just never sent the e-mails to those who signed up for the swarm sale. Basically they wanted to get people advertising for them on forums and then didnt come through. At least thats what I am seeing.

Not a scam. Not even close. They don't even mention forums.'it's called buying in bulk to reduce cost. It's helpful to buyers if anything. Were you promised an email?

Just saw on rcgoups if one wants to join, lets see if it is a scam :

                              http://www.hobbyking.com/SwarmSale.asp?id=16468
SwarmSale Status: 2 of 6 people joined

i wonder if 6ppl joined and only 1 or two actually purchased it....
