Glad zippys are cheap over there , cause in Australia i get my G3s for the same price as zippys , but everthing over here is a rip off , i guess thats why i buy in the US most of the time , i was in a local hobby shop the other day & he had a UL1 on the shelf for GET THIS it was $750 what a joke , i got mine off Steve for $ 500 with shipping , you guys have it good over there !!!!
bit like the LHS here has a dirty old venom 4s 5000 for $240
yea no good buying boat gear in OZ
well at least the guys at one lhs know there stuff
asked them if they had any castle or nue motors (about 8 months ago)
guy says he will get there resident electric "expert" his response was
"we dont stock cheap Chinese $hit"
more like resident "knob jockey"
i was getting my 2s 35c 6500 hyperion packs for $ 135 in melbourne before they stopped shipping over 5000 mah packs which i didnt think was a bad price ...
I have various 6S5000+
packs always cycled gently first 3-5 runs
run to 80% or 3.3v min
My G3 6S35C5500 are still 95% ok after 125+ cycles... 16 months..just longer to balance
TP 6S45C5000 huffed and puffed after 10 cycles .. 2 weeks... expensive choice !
Same setups and run characteristics..
Don't forget. I am a Hyperion battery dealer and give you guys here on OSE very good prices. PM me if you are interested. My prices include shipping in the USA but NOT overseas.
That was a good price. My current price (for OSE members ONLY) for Hyperion G3 45C 2S 5000 packs is $74 shipped in the USA. Not sure what shipping to Australia would be.

Thats why i have stuck with my G3 2s 35c 6500 packs i have lost count of how many times i have charged them , but what i do is buy them in pairs & mark them ,so i dont mix older cells with newer ones & charge them hooked up as a 14.8 & use a Y balance harness ,so that way all 4 cells balanced perfectly & it has kept them in good working order... Well thats for all my boats that run 2x 2s packs, i mark mine with shapes lol
I do the same. For example, two 2S packs will be marked 1A and 1B, etc. I think I currently have 8 pairs not to mention all the 3S 4S 5S 6S packs. The ones I am using 2P also get the A & B markings.

mmm my Hyperion dealer in Melbourne wouldnt be happy to losse my business LOL , he does look after me price wise , but if you can better his price you have won me !!! and thats for the new 45c range which my dealer does not have the 2s packs in stock yet !!! So $74 US , that works out at $ 80.54 AU +shipping @ todays rates
PM me what you want a quote on and also your FULL address and I'll find out about the shipping. Could be after shipping my prices aren't so great!
Ok will do , just checked Hyperion Australia web site , still no 2s 45c 5000 packs in stock & he has not put any prices on his web site yet ,so i cant compare your prices with his anyway ...
UL1- 1515 castle/neu / 240 swordfish
SV27- with UL1 running gear
33 Delta Force - 1521-1.5D/Neu/ 240 swordfish/4S2P
if there is 3-4 mph difference from HK packs compared to a Hyperion, then for sport boaters would the extra price of say a 4s 5000 Hyperion be better of spent on going to 6s with turnigy cells or do you think its worth spending the extra $$$ for the Hyperion.
would the less amp draw (then less voltage drop) offset enough going from 4s to 6s to gain back those few mph on a cheaper pack ?
Tony were the packs cold or pre heated ?
Scott, the packs were run at ambient outside temp. - @ 80 deg. F
Good question about 6S vs. 4S
