Six New NAMBA 2-Lap records set today

Legg Lake Record Results for day one :

    Tyler G. [Racemechanix] :

    N-2 Mono - 30.055
    N-2 Offshore - 30.425
    S Offshore - 25.609
    T Offshore - 24.554

Brian Buass " The Snowman" :

    1/10 modified - 30.083
    P Hydro - 20.266 !!! [ unf'ingbelievable !!!]

My P-Sport Hydro record was to fall to Marks FE 30 but speed control goblins shortened each attempt - He would have smashed my record but his speedy woudn't cooperate. Brian drove my MV for an attempt to break my record, knocked 2 seconds off on the first lap but hit a turtle (or some damn underwater thang) on lap 2 and kaboodled the prop. Tomorrow's another day and right now I need some sleep !!!

Congrats Tyler. Were the S & T records set with your Conquest? And sorry to hear about your MV hitting the pond monster. Good thing she only buggered the prop and not a sponson. Then again we are talking about your Vegas, only thing in the water is prop and rudder......LOL

Tony my sister just moved to San Pedro. I'll have to make it a point when I go visit her to swing by Legg Lake to meet all you guys. I was looking at google maps and she lives about an hour away. Sweet stuff....

For some reason my seeking 180 would go to 1/4 throttle after a couple of seconds from take off. I didn't have another controller and everyone else had different bullets on there controller that didn't match mine. I have to work today so I can't make it back out. My controller has worked perfect up till now and I dont know whats wrong with it. I'm very bummed I didn't get a chance to run the boat.

Sorry to hear about your luck. These are known to do that. Most of the time it happens when running the auto calculate mode. You could try to turn the LVC off and see if that works.

Tony I can't wait to see some vids. My wifes cousin lives in Hollywood and are here for a couple of weeks. We are trying to get something setup for next summer!

Interestling enough, Mark's SC was the Seaking branded one. My first Seaking lost the BEC, then quit altogether. I remember something about a V1 & V2 which fixed some glitches in the V1. My second 180 is the Turnigy branded one, doing just fine, originally in the H&M and now doing giggle duty in the Titan 29/1515 1Y [!].

A guy at our club had the same problem with a Turnigy 180A ESC, which I think is pretty much the same ESC as the Seaking. He narrowed the problem down to the LVC.
When he switched the LVC off, the problem went away. He has an external LVC anyway.
So you may have success if you turn off the LVC in yours.
                      Cheers.

NEVER USE THE LVC BUILT INTO ANY ESC!!!!! Why even risk it, if running over 3s?

I dont think the LVC has anything to do with the BEC. I use the LVC in all of my airplane controllers and they work fine. I usually dont bother with the BEC in controllers. Thanks for the tips guys, I will give it a try.

We disabled the LVC with the programming box and full throttle was restored. This is the Seaking labeled SC, not the Turnigy labeled one if there's a difference. Anyway, problem seems solved.
