I wasn't there Sunday. Was recovering from Saturday & had stuff to do. I only have 3 vid's ; Tyler's 10S cat & 8S cat run & Brian's P-OPC run. Camera malfunctioned on the others. Will post soon.

Tony or Mark, was the LVC setup with the auto calculate or was it setup for four cells? My Turnigy 180 in auto calculate mode seems to do this every now and then. I hasn't done it when set up to manual four cell. Glad it's all figured out.

We disabled the LVC with the programming box and full throttle was restored. This is the Seaking labeled SC, not the Turnigy labeled one if there's a difference. Anyway, problem seems solved.
          Glad it worked.

It seems the Sea King & Turnigy are so similar that they can have the same inherent programming problem. Or maybe the programming card selects the next higher cell count setting to the one that is entered.
Eg: If the cutouts are programmed at say 3.3V & a cell count of 4s is entered, the programming card/ESC may be entering 5s.
This would give a cutout voltage of 16.5V.
With a fully charged 4s pack at 16.8V, as soon as you hit the throttle the voltage drop would trigger the LVC.
I don't have one to play with so it's only a theory.
But it sounds similar to the problem that Castle had a while ago with the wrong timing settings being programmed to the ones being selected.

I guess by setting the LVC manually with the TX, you could tell if it's the card or the ESC

Like I said, just a theory.
          Paul.

My settings worked fine for 4 previous trips to the lake. Then it acted up at the 2 lap. I wish I would have seen some post about this issue before the 2 lap event.

Ahhh well. I guess it's a general failing of the LVC programming within the ESC then, if it was working before. So bang goes my theory.
Now that you mention it, I think the one at our club was working previous to the problem. It was a while ago.
I'm sorry for you that it happened at such a critical time Mark.

              All the best.
              Paul.

Here are the official results with a little editing on the details. I did take some videos and even have several of Brian with both his P and N2 hydro's, but its going to take some time to get them off the video camera and onto youtube.

Tony, Thanks for the videos of mine.

Jan, Next time bring a boat.

                            Mark, bummer on the esc.

I'm new to the whole racing thing (don't race or have a place to race) but how long is the course and is the speed an average of the whole run?
