i was told not to run 6s for no longer than a couple passes....never did it, didnt wanna toast anything

I run mine on 2x 2s 40c 5000 lipos,, things get hot but not overly hot..but that was after about an 5min run in the middle of summer..PS mine is all factory with about a 442 size prop..Comment

Really too small of motors for that large of hull. The 4074 or 4082s are the way to go. You need the torque and power which will run faster, more effic and cooler. Even a nice outrunner like the T600 would be much better and run 6S and a 45-52mm prop. Also much easier on the ESC.Comment

The fastest Genesis upgrade is the Leopard 40mm 74 or 82 motor. Smaller props with higher RPM tend to work well on the cats. 642 is a good one for example.
I think somebody sells the 40 motor tail ring by itself too. Or can just get the whole 40mm mount for a few bucks.
