two schools of thought on this. I never polish a prop. Just get it relatively smooth with 400 wet or dry and let 'er rip.

thanks for all the help guy's .
the blad i had to grind alot off one blade on on the back is dimply looking i thought the back of the prop did not have to be smooth like the front.?
Looks like i need to do alot of work on it now!
I ordered a new balancer from kentec racing the one for $19.99 since i needed a CF 40MM prop but Steve was out of them.... hope this one works out well.

Also was reading alot about props and stuff and they say the leading edg of the prop should be the sharpest because that's what cuts into the water first?Comment

Rick, what is confusing me is the prop materials and diameters. I think he is trying to balance an X440 not an X430. I have never used CF props....just semantics on my part.

Is it true the leading edge on the prop should be the sharpest when sharpining the props?Comment
