WOW. That is some wicked current! My Supercat will peak at like 150-160 but drop off to the mid 60's on plane.

I guess I'll find out eventually if I can let the smoke out of my Eagletree 150. Awesome little device. I love the datalogging right at the lake.

I hope a Hydra 240 can handle this kind of amp load on 4s?
i smoked my hydra 240 LV on 5s and 130 amps so i wouldent take it for granted.

The wires melted off the circuit board.

I think wires melting is more indicative of you driving it too hard for an extended period. I feel better about possible 180+ amp peaks but like 100 amp average after hearing that

I'd like to try one of those ICE controllers, but I like the GPS feature of the Eagletree. Laying that graph on top of my current graph is kinda neat. We compared the Garmin GPS to the Eagletree and speeds were exactly the same.

Not sure what all sorts of data logging the ICE does for you compared to Eagletree

                from the OSE shop.
"Ice brings another incredibly useful feature, extensive data logging capabilities. The controllers are able to measure and record many parameters at sample rates that you choose between 10 samples per second and 1 sample per second. Data points include:

                • Battery Voltage
                • Battery Ripple
                • Battery Current
                • Controller Temperature
                • Controller Input Throttle
                • Controller Motor Power Output
                • Motor RPM "

i dont have a gps. but for me gps speed is not important as the boat i need the amp logs for is more then a handfull as it is :)

well you did average well over 150 amps, so there goes the logger and esc, that sucks man, but email eagletree and they will tell you to send the logger in and have it replaced for you for $30, thats what i did when i waterlogged mine they airmailed me a new one, just remember to keep your connectors. I would also recommend using a smaller prop, that draw seems to be way to high! something is wrong with that setup, but then again my Mean machine will peak at 180 with an m445 and 580 6l, keep us updated!
                  24 R/C vehicles and still counting...What budget?

                    That sucks man!

I run that motor and prop in my 31" Rico mono and I average 120 amps with calculations from run time and battery usage.

Yeah. I was averaging approximately 120 amps too, but the water was really smooth that day and the boat was running wet because of it... OR so I thought. There were some weeds dragging behind it when I did the recovery.

Weeds with this setup can spell
