It will record up to about 170 amps and then stop recording and not blow up. Works on Vista 64 bit so SHOULD work on 7.

sorry to hear that. You know, I think mine did show some amps slightly above 170 just for a moment, but that is just splitting hairs. The logger does start getting warm though. Nice to see they sell it as 150amp but engineered something beyond that for margin of error!!

so far i been on the safe side with my esc`s (not taking in accont the hydra 240`s that realy are 60) but now im running a 1521 that according to FECALC should draw as much as 170+ amp on a 645. i dont use FEcalc as a presize tool, but it have been a good indicator in the past.

Yeah. I just started testing a 1521 (1800kv) neu and it was peaking in the 170's with a x442 prop pushing a toysport triton.

no idea what mine is peaking at. only had the temps to go on. after about 2 minutes temps was no more then 86f on the motor or esc (taken at several spots) but it wont take much to blow up my poor little etti 150 with spikes in the 170`s

Here is the latest amp draw diagram. Look at the honking peak near 180 .(forgot about that). Something odd happened there, I think I go tangled in something in the water for a second. I have already blow one turnigy 180amp esc playing around with this. My problem is I need a bigger pond near my house! I am just speeding up and slowing down all the time.

so around 130-140 amps for a normal peak then. thats not bad.
how large is the triton ? and is it running wet ?

The boat is 31.75 in length. Not running wet, still trying to get the hull planted down a bit better. I definitly am going to prop up from here since I have more room and would like to be able to run it reliably at about 55mph or so...

I try to always adjust the CG (moving batteries fore and aft) to adjust the ride, rather than messing with the strut. If you need to plant it a bit more, try moving your batteries foreward first.
