I got a video camera a couple of weeks ago.

I'll get some video of it running with the 180A ESC and Leopard motor.

I've setup all the running gear properly now too so i'll post some photo's of that.

This is how i've done my boat up so far with the seaking 180A ESC.

I'm waiting for my aluminium motor cooler before i put the motor back in.

When the cooler comes i'll post a complete shot.

I've only run with a silicone cooler so far.

Remove the two screws holding the rudder mount and then the single screw/nut holding the strut. Loosen the coupler at the shaft/motor. Then gently pull the strut off of the stuffing tube and then pull the cable out the rear. Now you can lube up the prop shaft and cable without messing with the motor mount.

Just remove it and put a new piece on? Or stretch it a bit and re-use it? I've found that if the stuffing tube is snug in the strut that it isn't necessary, but still do it sometimes if I'm chasing a leak.

Hmmm. Check the adjustment of the prop dog and make sure it's snug up against the teflon washer & strut.

I sometimes use a piece of vinyl tubing split longways and glued over the stuffing tube at the coupler as a splatter guard.

Yeah i did paint the floor with some epoxy paint i had laying around.

Probably overkill but a friend suggested it as he has had full size fibreglass boats.

He mentioned that water can eventually penetrate into fibreglass and cause swelling.

But hey not a lot of water gets in so overkill but it looks okay.

On the way for the motor.

im still setting up my boat
its still stock but im going to use a external battery pack for the receiver
so all i have to do ... is plug the batter pack into the battery pack into a switch, which goes into the battery slot on the receiver, and then disconnect the red wire from the ESC which goes into the receiver?

You don't have to use the switch if you don't want to, but yes disconnect the red wire (pull the locking tab up with a small flat head and pull the wire from the connector out, please don't cut the wire to disable it) then plug the rx pack in the batt/bind port on the rx. Make sure batteries are either charged or new.

Yep thats right the red wire powers the receiver from the ESC's BEC.

Can you post a photo of the strut from the side? I think I know why there's grease coming up.

If the teflon bushing is too tall, it will collect water pressure in the stuffing tube. If it is smooshed or stretched, it will do just that.
