    Eeep, wouldn't do that myself.
Now what I do when a cell goes bad is I'll remove it and turn the pack into something viable I can give a friend to use for one their vehicles
Say I have a 5s pack that lost a cell, I'll remove it reconfigure the wiring and install a 4s balance balance plug viola and good battery for someone to use or sell at a fair price.

Yeah, the "if all else fails" plan is to re-wire it as a 3s. I have a fire safe area that I can work in and give it a try, but... Nothing until after I hear back about the warranty. After all it's new, so should be taken care of without worry.

Thats not puffed, this is puffed :

No Fires here, just cut the cell away from the rest of the pack and threw it in some salt water, bubbled for a bit.

Did you register the serial number with HK ?
Should be able to claim warranty.

Yeah, registered, it's a Zippy pack, the new 5k 40c kind.

Super curious to see this myself because they are my main source for packs.I've had excellent luck with the multiple dozens of packs I've bought arriveing OK, just a few weeks later I've had a few problems.
I'm just glad I stopped buying MaxDouche packs years ago.

WE ALL would be very curious to hear how this escalates, the biggest problem is the langauge barrier.
I know that their email have a program to translate what we are saying/trying point out but they dont get shiz and answer with stuff completely from left field.

I'm employed by our LHS and I placed a order with HC, few weeks later after our order wasn't filled so I inquired.
I had a on going email battle with "SHARK" from HC and he kept answering my emails and accustaions with stuff that wasn't even relivent to the conversation ?? In the long run he got his way; Our money (the hobby shops) and despite them screwing stuff up and we having to wait a excessive amount of time for a refund to our PP account and to receive our order.

Hope it goes much smoother for you ! ! ! !
I have a feeling they will "Play Dumb" like ShizHead Shark did to me.

After submitting the warranty request, wait a couple of weeks, then Jump up and down on their forum!

I'm really not too worried about it. I'm learning not to get excited or get my hopes up about any of this stuff. Until it's proven and ready to rock.

Where do you register the batteries on HK for the warranty?

Heh... they told me to ship it to them.

it's $15 to ship it and I'm sure it will be 3 months or more before a replacement arrives...

Is it worth it for a $50 battery?

I could just cut it up and use it as a 3s instead of 4s and tell them it blew up in the mail truck and the police want to know why they told a 12 year old child to ship hazardous materials?

I'm not shipping it. If this thing blows off in a plane and happens to eff something up, I don't want to get under the FAA microscope. Good grief, it does have the potential to explode, right?

I can't be responsible for that.

Well i got my first set of lipos like a month ago from HK,and their method of packing and shipping lipos leaves a lot to be desired!! dangerous and funny at the same time. I work for AA at DFW and see lots of things being air shipped, but nothing like this lipos. Not even a Hazardous Material decal/sign on the outside.Just a plain small carboard box with almost no packing material inside to cushion the packs.Oh and the funny part of it? the shipper, named Steven????...lol used my last name,Alvarez, like he was a cousin or a relative of mine living in China and sending me some rc stuff per her declaration decal on the outside.INCREDIBLE!!!!........Albert
