    Has anyone ran a 1515 2200kv in a PT45 before?
if so how was it on 4s, and what prop did you use?
    Thanks

There is no way the 1515 motor will push that hull and live. I tried a 1521 on mine and it ran in the 50's but the motor ran hot. Its a big, wide hull and even though you can get away with a 1521 a 1527 is a safer bet.

What other motors will work on 4s for this hull?

I know Jay Turner has had luck with the 1527 1D motor on 4s but I think it will be a hot setup.

What do you think about the 1717 for this hull?

The hull would be better on 6s...
My prop hasn't been wet in a while.

It's a BIG hydro. To get a decent prop swinging with lower amps, you'll want a 1520 or 1521 at least on 6s. The smaller PT hydro however, will do well with the 1515.

I'd have to ask someone who has ran that motor, but I'm assuming it's quite a beast!

Here is my 3 cents.....This will be my next hull inline, PT 45, if Fine Design cant get my Twin Wing I orderd. But anyway you have to look at cost to run a 2s battery setup......and you will need 2s for that hull, A 1500kv 1527 NEU motor i am told is the way to go with 6s 2p. But when i looked at the cost of the batteries I run.....45-90c 5000mah they where almost 500.00 for the pair.So now im leaning to the 2,300kv 1527 motor and run it on 4s2p so i can save on cheaper batteries in the long run. Lets face it...........$1,000.00 for two pairs of batteries for what......10-12 min. run time. Things start adding up real quick.

I started useing the highest C rated battery i could find last year and they always out performed all others i used so I am a Thunder Power buyer now. They are 45-90c , 5,000mah and put out 450amps at full tilt. You pay for them though !!!!!!!!!!LOL

Check out the Hyperion 3G's if you want insane power! 45/90C 4S 5000's are $160 and the 6S are $240. PM me. I give the guys here on OSE a great discount on them, like $200 shipped for the 6S.
