    Brushless55.

    I'm a bit jealous ! Wish I would had a neighbour selling a PT SS45 !
I've never owned any hydro at all, but if I had to buy one now......
it def. would be a 45.

Is this the charger you are referring to:

We are a hyperion dealer. There is very little markup in the Hyperion chargers but We give the OSE guys a discount.

Any charger that can go up to 10A can charge a 2000mAh pack at 5C for example. Buy where you want but no need to badmouth the best batteries on the planet right now. The packs are also surprisingly well priced but not as cheap as Turnigy, you're right. HK packs are great for sport running, where ultimate speed and reliability is not an issue, that's for sure. I used turnigy packs too until the last time I ordered them 2 out of the 5 packs arrived DOA and the cost to ship back wasn't worth it so they went in the trash. After factoring in the bad packs, I paid more for turnigy than I would have for hyperion. Just my experience. That is why we became a hyperion dealer. Good warranty and cheap to return if necessary. And we give you guys here on OSE a great discount.

1527/1y on a pair of Hyperion 35c 3s 6500's wired in series. The Hyp cells are pricey but so far I've had great luck with them.

I ran my sport 40 on a 1515/1.5y with 6s and it was NOT happy about it. It worked but everything came in HOT. Finally baked the batteries.

I recently went to some 50c cells. Pretty sweet.

Ok, I'm bringing this thread back up..
My friend sold his PT45 before I knew it, but he has another now
my question is that this boat is setup for nitro, and how hard will it be to convert over to brushless

its very simple, I would have everything in hand before building to make sure you can place all the components in place.

I ended up with a PT 45 and its the best boat i have ever had. Its made some 86-87 mph runs on 18 volts and it is smooth as silk with no quirks at all. Brushless just pull everything out of that hull, clean it up and go to town !! You will love it !!
PT-45, 109mph, finally gave up after last bad crash
                              H&M 1/8 Miss Bud 73 mph
                              Chris Craft 16 mph
