Insane Boats P-Spec Sport Hydro 1st run with Vid !!!

Is it legal to vent the tunnel? (side vents). Today at the lake I noticed a lot of the full size 1.5L boats had vents. Seems to be fairly common.

Side vents are not allowed for sport hydros in IMPBA (pg H-9).

I don't believe that NAMBA addresses vents, just the 25% rule.

Insane Hydro Trio of Jeff, Brad and Tony running today at Lake Forest. More like another unofficial meeting of the So Ca FE Boating Club! Hope you enjoy the pictures of this event.

I took deliver of a new Bright Orange Insane Hysro and I could not be happier with the quality. Will put a Leopard 4074 with Seaking 180 ESC. Mark agreed to do the build for me which I greatly appreciate. Nice to have an expert provide assistance.

Mark sold his original Insane Hydro with the Leopard 4074 to Brent. He drove up from San Diego to pick it up.....and become a member of the SoCa FE club with Tony providing the secret oath and handshake. Here is the video of his first run.

Another "Great Day ay Questtek's" Thanks Joe for the great company & hospitality. Quite a thrill to see Brent ( V-Spec) whip his new FE 30 around the lake for the first time. Mark's new FE 30 with the 1527 was absolutely Ballistic !!

IMO that Jeff getting his company, Insane Boats involved in FE has given SoCal a boost and hope, as it already seems to be doing, a boost everywhere else worldwide. Jeff's already rolling up his sleeves to get some other designs out - buckle up, Guys !

Hey Joe, any pics of the big cat?
Radtec brought out his big cat today to do the maiden run but found out the stearing cable as it comes for Hans R wasn't lock tighted properly and came undone right before the tape down. Everybody was very disapointed to not see it go.
This boat has twin Lenner 3080s on 12s so it would have be fun to watch.
And, for all you guys wanting a sport hydro that looks like the real boat, guess what, there's already a class for that and its called Scale Hydro and there's already pleanty of boats to choose from.

When I talked to Jeff about tunnels we kind of agreed there's a whole lot of tunnels on the market right now and most will probably buy whats popular in there area. I would like to see a tunnel that can take true P power, not just spec and that was my vote.

Only problem during our FE 30 Fun Run today was a visit by some dark denizen of the deep. Authorities were puzzled as to what it was until Joe wrestled it to shore. The soup was delicious .

One word! AWESOME! I've only been running boats about 4 years now but I've not run a hydro that is this stable at these speeds and I've gone through a whole lot of boats!

It runs and turns flat out no problem and I'm sure once I have a few more runs under my belt it will be even faster! The hull is rock solid too! I don't see the need to do any work to this hull like I always have to do with other boats I've purchased. The only thing I've got to do to it is figure out what stickers I want to put on!

It's basically mount the hardware and electronics and you have an awesome boat that's going to be ready to win races or even just impress anybody at the lake with it's great handling and ridiculous speeds!

I really feel like I've got a boat to be proud of now instead of a boat that I need to rebuild everything to get running 1/2 as good as this thing! Also keep in mind in this video we got it running with whatever was on the table because I didn't have a prop for it and my Lipo's had the bullets soldered different etc etc. It's going to run so much better after some more setup!

I want to say thanks to everyone for having me up there! You guys are the best! I'm going to go chase down some nitro boats at the pond here next weekend! Can't wait to see the look on their faces!

Sorry for the super long post but I'm just really happy I got such an awesome boat!! I'll definitely have more video up once I've got the boat sorted out!!
