USE a NEU 1400 Sport 6 (www.fastelectrics.com has them, in stock)- these are very close - same runtime and performance characteristics- you wont notice the difference - except in the price

I suggest you dont use a cheap brand motor - the runtime will be less and the speed not as high.

A 1521 is used in low c rate race setups ie 25/50C packs but its hard on the cells and the runtime isnt there. On the newer 45/90s it can use the power the batteries have available.

just tested the boat with my etti 150 and a 640.
and i would guess was around 40-45 mph or so (no gps)
temps 82f on the back of the motor 70f on top behind the cooling jacket ESC was 90 on the caps as the warmest spot.

speeds are about the same as with the 13XL on x645 but it handles the boat with a totaly different autorethy. used about 2000 mah in 2-3 minutes of sport running so it seems good so far :D
wil try with 642 tomorow and se how that works :D

thank you for all your help and input guys

Thats about right for the 1y. They use a lot more energy than the 1515 motor.

Dont worry about motor. Just watch the batteries and esc and performance. If the hull setup is off this motor can pull high amps without producing any extra performance.
