I think the hull with hardware for a twin build was over $800, and that's with one color on the hull

I love twin drive Cats ----- a twin drive Hydro would be awesome!

My only input into this project is to consder the size of the hatch. The bigger the better during the build process!

                      Read again : INLINE !
                      :-)

                      Haven't seen that anywhere yet............

Or, to stay within reasonable budgets : the new 21, with the improved hatch.
                      Hm, inline outrunners........................................ ....................

Twin : two motors coupled inline.
                          the axles connected.

Never seen the pics of the German 2.33 mtr catamaran with 2x2 lehners coupled inline ?

nope. a twin inline or 2 seperate drivelines,
You save on axle, strut etc .
I was thinking of outrunners because of the short cans.

Two motors geared to one shaft. The cheapest is a single setup hands down so u kinda gotta decide your poisons.
