    540S vs 540L

    Newbie question on the Feigao's.
What would be the difference between the performance of the two sizes above with the same KV or RPM/V rating?
Would the 540L just have a bit more torque than the 540S?
IE. Let it push bigger props?

The "L" is a longer motor, it can pull more amps.....thus creating more wattage = more power. Here is a chart to look at.

The 540 15s at 2590kv is rated at 43 "max" amps
    The 540 10L at 2602kv is rated at 61.............................

So even though the KV rating is the same the 10L would be faster than the 15S with the same 11v battery and prop?

They would basically be the same speed with the same kv......... The idea is to get a lower kv larger motor and run it on more volts for more power and cooler temps.

The larger L motor has more torque and more watts. So either it will push a bigger boat or spin larger props on a smaller boat.

What is the project that you are looking for a motor for?
