I don' t think, 150A to 200A ESC is necessary Have a look to this HIMODEL 200A

HiModel GX Seires 200A 4-8S Electric Speed Controller W/BEC Type GX-200A-BEC from manufacturer HiModel, in category Brushless Speed Control (BL ESC) - Air/ Helis, Electric Speed Control (ESC).

I also have an Apparition which is 33". I bought the RTR that came with 3900Kv Chinese water cool motor. The included esc is good for only 3S, so I bought the Etti 150A for my 4S setup and blew the Etti 150 in a second run with that motor. Fortunately Steve at OSE had it replaced but took over a month. I then dumped the 3900Kv and got the Feigao 8XL running 440/3 with 3-4S at low 40's. Next I tried the 7XL and got up to mid 40's with 4S. Now I have the Castle 2200Kv with same Etti 150A run cool at 3S with either 440/3 or 442. I found it run best 4S with 440/3 but faster but hotter with Grimracer 40x52mm (1.57x2.04=3.20") around 50's. I have yet to try the 445 and 642 or 5-6S with this Castle 2200Kv.

I also noticed that when I ran the 7XL with 2x3S 30C 3600 mAh packs, it is as fast as runing with 2x4S 30C 5000 mAh packs. I also tried the 40C packs but found no differences in speed. I always set the battery pack as far back as possible.

I still have a few more blades to try beside setting the strut depth.

BTW, I ran mine without the teflon liner.

Below is the 7XL ,4S run with 440/3 clip:

Wow, from everything I've learned so far you want to keep your RPM's around 30,000, and you are looking at 48,000!! That's pretty huge RPM, do you know what the max amp draw is?
