      The 2mm crap the Chinese put in the boats rarely holds up on anything bigger than about a 20-22" boat and then it's iffy. I always switch over to 4-40.

            I like to use SS bicycle spokes to make my push rods 3mm thick and won't rust.
            They coast $1.00 each at LBS

              Thanks buddy, I ordered a 4-40 rod from kintec earlier. I needed to get some other stuff anyway so it worked out.
