    Name this hull

I just acquired this hull today from my boss at the hobby shop for FREE. What brand of hull is this & is it worth converting to electric ?. It's 36 inches long.

My first answer is YES. But I have never converted a gas hull before ... so don't listen to me!

It is a Prather Lap Cat a old one, I think never know My memory sucks some times. It could be a fun boat they all take work. I would run cheap 8XL on 4S2P and a 440 prop possably a 442 prop.

Do you know about what it cost to convert it ?. It would make things eaiser. Because it's all ready mounted to the hull. No need for new holes .

unsure of cost, I have seen a converted one and the 4 bolts used to secure the power head were used to make a mounting plate, it had machined spacers about 30mm long then a flat motor mount plate bolted on top.

as much as i dislike RC universe for all the mis-information on there here is a link to a converted one

Speed - Electric - K&B electric outboard conversion? - Hi I'm planning to build an F1 tunnel hull with a K&B electric outboard conversion and need some expert help please..... After looking at pics online . My lower unit is missing the fin at the bottom . So i assume it is no good. Is there a affordable lower unit that can handle a 580xl motor ?. Or am i SOL ?.

might still be ok as you are using angled prop wash to turn.

Theres some Ausi's who are running o/b's maybe they have tried without the skeg, have a search around on here personally id try it and then keep a look out for another lower unit with skeg, least then you can use it to mock up the engine mount etc.

could always out a strut and rudder on it.

think this one has a surface drive strut setup.
