Those are some great speeds you're getting! Too cool! How does she handle at those speeds?

Isn't it fun to go that fast. Was the 52.8 mph with your 4s or 6s pack?

This is by far the best handling boat I have ever owned, even at the high speed. One tip I have though if you have a self righting hull don't put too much weight on the side without the channel, it wont self right! Were the GPS was mounted made it so the boat would not self right, remove the GPS and all was well.

Those runs were on a 4s set up, 6s just shipped, but I think if I am going to try those I will bump up to a 10xl or maybe even an 11xl

more fun tomorrow morning, I am going to try the p225, p330 and some others I have in the box

I have been going out by myself, and to be 100% honest I did not expect today to go so well being the first time out and all. When you ask for a picture of the hardware you mean the rudder, turn fin and that stuff?

I am going to have to tub test the boat tonight as I am getting water in the hull. enough water that I had a fatal failure with a lipo today, it ballooned up pretty big so I am going to drop it off at the local hobby shop so they can dispose of it (in California at least they have to accept the battery so it can disposed of properly) for me. I am going to cut up a sponge and put it in the rear of the boat.

I am not sure if it is coming threw the hardware or the shaft. Second question would be lubing the flex shaft, how does it come out or does it. I know it has the zerk style fitting on the shaft and I have filled it with grease but is it enough?

thanks for the pictures of the hardware. thats nice stuff.

I would guess that the water is coming up the shaft, try putting a piece of fuel line or rubber grommet between the drive dog and the strut.

I may be wrong but I would say that the lipos didnt fail because of water, but that you didnt pre heat them before you ran.

The flex shaft should pull out if you undo the flex shaft from the coupler.

I will try the piece of tubing, as far as removing the shaft I have attached a picture and once I loosen it from the coupler it will only slide until the bigger part hits the flex tube then thats it.

As far as the lipo, I would say it was water as when I pulled the bad battery out it was full of water and when I pulled the other one out it was dry and is still balanced and in good condition. I have never really pre heated my batteries, what temp would you recommend and what are some of the advantages of it?

My batteries did sit in the sun for about 1 hour before they were ran as I had my 1/8th scale hydro as well and they were warm to the touch when I used them probably around 85-90 degrees.

                            thanks for the help
