    Triton and Syncron

Any body use any of these hulls? I was intrigued by the self righting hulls. They look like they are both deep vee boats

Steven V races the Syncron. It is a very competative hull. The Triton is not so much a race hull. But is a very good hull. The ToysPort hulls in general are some of the best made you can get. You cab't go wrong with any of them.

I am not sure how much real racing I will do. Most of the time we get 4-5 of us out at one of the lakes around us and just run. I do like to be the fastest out there and have been known to blow up a nitro motor or 2 to get there.

I am very impressed with the Toysports hulls

But the ability to race would be nice as well

what would be a good motor for the Syncron? 8xl, 7xl or 11xl? Is it set-up for one battery pack or 2 packs? How does the flood chamber play into that?

The 7xl would be a bit hot for that hull. Id say a 10 to 8xl on @ least 11.1 volts.

I run the Syncron with an 9XL on 4s2p setup with the Hydra 120. The speeds I get are in the upper 30s to uppers 40s. The boat becomes pretty unstable when it reaches 50, although it is a fun boat. I got one without hardware but if I would do it over I would get one with the hardware.

Just my luck that OSE is currently out of the Feigao 8 and 9XL, guess I could try a 10xl.

How many packs do you run Northernboater in the hull at one time?

the factory hardware is nice but has a single draw back. The struts on all the boats are unajustable. It dont seem to be a problem on the gen 2 Jolly. But I would like the option on the monos. The SpeedMaster stuff is about as nice as it comes. For 100 bucks right here @ ose you can get set up nice.

I have installed a motor mount in my TC31, but I have no idea were to start with the other stuff like the stuff tube strut rudder. I think at this point in my boating I might be best served to buy the hull complete sans electric. Eventually I will try just not sure if now is the time for me.

On a scale of 1-10 how hard would you rate that stuff SJFE?

Northernboater, is there any chance I could see some pics of your boat? Inside the hull as well as the hardware in the back?

                    thanks

I thought it was impossible myself. I only did my first one 2 boats ago. If you take your time, center every thing up, make sure its all straight & ASK questions you will have no problems.

They are in this post. This was also my first boat. It is not the best job but works. I am running 4s2p LiPos.

Also it would have been better to mount the motor farther back.

oh great, that just reminded me...ive never really set up a boat with hardware before (the OM21 doesent count...there was no strut and i didnt have to bend the stuffing tube...)....all of the hulls ive set up to far have already had the hardware on it...and the one ill have to set up will be the drifter .....hope i dont screw up on that....
