I am taking a 5mm flex coupler down to a machine shop and getting it drilled out to 6 mm. I will let you know how it works out.
Steven sells these.

I think. The only 6mm ones I could source were the 3 piece kind. 2 washers with a center bearing section. These are fine but I liked the 1 piece a bit better.Steven Vaccaro

it won't work, .250 is 6,35mm so that's 14mil too big!Comment

.250 inches is equal to 6.35mm. I would say that it is to big. It has to be perfectly centered turning at 30,000 rpm.
I had to order a 6mm bit. Cant find metric bits locally. I have a friend that is going to drill it out on a lathe. Hope it works.
I dont want to turn down the rotor to 5mm, since it might void any warranty from Steven???
I pull the flex shaft after each days run. I dont like the set screw coupler because the allen screw heads might wear out quickly. Dont like drilling those little suckers out.Last edited by ReddyWatts; 07-20-2007, 05:09 PM.ReddyWatts fleet photo

anyone able to find a 6mm to .187 adapter. Called a few shops today and they were not interested in helping me out so as of right now I have this beautiful motor and jacket and no ability to put it in my cat. Wonder how it would work in my superveeComment

It will sink a super vee. lol
Do you have a drill press? If you do what I did when I was in a pinch was drill a 5mm to 6mm the other day. Came out ok. Not as good as if I had a lathe.
If you are not in a major rush, say 1-2 weeks. I will be getting some.Steven Vaccaro
