Did you get my email? I sent you saying the wire in the jolly is .078 and I have 6mm to .078 couplers coming in a couple of days. If you wanted me to hold on the the motor until the coupler comes in?

I am taking a 5mm flex coupler down to a machine shop and getting it drilled out to 6 mm. I will let you know how it works out.

I think. The only 6mm ones I could source were the 3 piece kind. 2 washers with a center bearing section. These are fine but I liked the 1 piece a bit better.

I found a .250 to .187 coupler, thats pretty damn close to 6mm according to my calipers. Will it work?

                  it won't work, .250 is 6,35mm so that's 14mil too big!

.250 inches is equal to 6.35mm. I would say that it is to big. It has to be perfectly centered turning at 30,000 rpm.

I had to order a 6mm bit. Cant find metric bits locally. I have a friend that is going to drill it out on a lathe. Hope it works.

I dont want to turn down the rotor to 5mm, since it might void any warranty from Steven???

I pull the flex shaft after each days run. I dont like the set screw coupler because the allen screw heads might wear out quickly. Dont like drilling those little suckers out.

anyone able to find a 6mm to .187 adapter. Called a few shops today and they were not interested in helping me out so as of right now I have this beautiful motor and jacket and no ability to put it in my cat. Wonder how it would work in my supervee

It will sink a super vee. lol

Do you have a drill press? If you do what I did when I was in a pinch was drill a 5mm to 6mm the other day. Came out ok. Not as good as if I had a lathe.

If you are not in a major rush, say 1-2 weeks. I will be getting some.

Yea I did not think it would work in my Supervee, why would it sink it? Just torque roll it or just too heavy?

I don't have access to a press at this time, I can wait a few weeks
