IMO, If they are the same as the Lehner motors they cloned, it is 50 - 100 amps.

So at 100A, the 10XL will give more than twice the torque of a Feigao XL! that's a lot!
I guess the 1700rpm/v can drain more than that! around 140!

KB45 8XL with FDM tranny.
no gear ratio mentioned.
OEMRC 100 HV ESC fan cooled.
7S 30C PG4500 pack
3S and 4S in series.
running a X455/3.
Continous amps drawn 65-70.
Peaks up to 110, when cornering and changing speeds.
55mph.

Wonder where he found a gear to fit a 6mm motor shaft? Drilled it?

Robby76 found some stainless steel 6mm ball bearing thrust washers (5mm thick) for the KB45 motors. He said they are $8.50 at a local Grainger Industrial Supply Store or $10.50 online. They are 11000 rpm max at 382 lbs pressure. IMO they should work fine at a higher rpm under less pressure. I have one to test. They look as good or better than any I have used.

It should be just a little longer than the water jacket. This bearing will work out nice.

Is there really big benefit of using a thrust bearing instead of a PTFE washer?

IMO, a PTFE is fine for sport, but I would want a BB thrust washer for racing or a high hp boat. The less resistance on the drive, the better it is with less peak amps. The more hp you have, the more pressure on the thrust washer. All of the weight of the boat should be pushed by the prop shaft onto the thrust washer. The strut should not be carrying the load by pushing the hull.
