    Bill,

I have some boats from China where only the teflon tube extends beyond the transom and into the stinger. The teflon is very thick walled and accounts for the large diameter. The idea is to allow adjustment of the strut very easily rather than the necessity to bend the brass tubing! The brass stuffing box ends at the transom, not beyond it.

I don't know if this is the same in your situation but it may explain it. I actually kinda like the setup myself!

Bill it looks like it should use 1/4" brass tube with 150 cable and tef tube
      130 cable with tef tube - 3/16
      150 cable no tef tube-3/16
150 cable with tef tube 1/4
      187 no tube -- 1/4

Thanx Mike, I'm trying to copy your N-2 minus the fact that I'm running a long strut..
My hull is a bit shorter, so I think the strut may help ..

              Hi Bill!

I'm using a Speedmaster stinger on my ETTI Dragon. 1/4" stuffing tube goes into the stinger backing plate hole (i'm using .150 cable).

Off topic here...sorry ...what motor/ESC/ lipos/ prop are you planning on using?

Bill, I have a build thread on here with some pics (Kent' Etti Oriental Dragon Build). I have not finished the build yet so I don't how she acts...should run very well though...

My camera is worthless right now, so no new pics...sorry.

I went out and tested my N-1 mono..
Its been acting finicky. Had it running decent yesterday, then it broke a shaft, drank tons of water, now the speedo is going batty not putting out full power I suppose.

there's a huge music festival in golden gate park near my pond..
pink Floyd is cool and all, but not when I have to hike my equipment in because of the road being blocked off..
