    Dynamite 3835 1500Kv

    Is this motor (Dynamite 3835 1500Kv) a "D" or a "Y" wind
I know that it is a 6- pole 2 -Turn Wind??

If you can't see the Y connection inside the end bell it is a D.

        Thank you
        Doug

I have misplaced my little black book with all my motor info in it.
I just changed the ESC in that boat, went to set it up and I could not remember the wind, for the timing.
I should scribe it on the motor. "Y"

                Larry,

                The 1500 is a 2 Wye.

The "Y connection" is that little piece of black heat shrink, pressed down on top of the wire, in the rear of that motor. It's small and hard to see in that motor.

                Flash,

What do you mean by cheat sheet?

                    Flash,

What do you mean by cheat sheet?
I mean by having a list of the Dynamite motors and having them listed as either D or Y wind so you could have a good starting point for the timing.

                      Dynamite -3835 - 1500kv - 6 pole - 2Y
                      Dynamite -3831 - 2000kv - 6 pole - 1.5D

These are the only two that I use

Thank you! I was assuming the 2000 was Y.

This could be why some members find the 2000 Kv motors to run hot. Thinking it was a Wye motor and then running the Delta motor on 10*-15* advance could be expected to build extra heat.
