Sean, What motor/esc and batteries are you using for P Sport? Would the large Feigao 540 6L be legal?

I just returned from the 2010 NAMBA Fast Electric Nationals in Greeley, CO and I am pleased to report that my Ducati Whiplash took 1st place in LSH and 2nd place in P-Sport Hydro.
Thanks again to all of the sponsors and the NAMBA District 20 clubs for hosting a GREAT event! I made a lot of new friends there and learned some new tricks as well.
A special thanks to Jeepers for his prop suggestion in P-sport, and to Teach for the flushing syringe.Comment

More LSH prop testing
I tested a modified H5 prop in my LSH setup and got the following results.
The temp sensors were not hooked up so I didn't record those numbers.
On a side note: While I was impressed with the performance, I'm not convinced that it will hold up during an actual heat race.

Just because I didn't smoke my motor/ESC, doesn't mean that you won't if you try the same thing... So don't try this and blame me if you smoke something

Driving skills and boat setup play a big role on how long the motor/esc will live. A setup that is too tight or (BOAT TOO HEAVY) WILL kill a motor or esc. Last week I burned up my UL/1 motor using the Octura m445 prop and NanoTech battery. Boat was fast down the straits, but slowed too much in the turns causing amps to spike too much when accellerating out of the turns. I will loosen the hull up more to keep speeds up in turns and/or build a lighter weight Whiplash hull.
Awsome job...58mph! I also have the Eagletree gps on order from Steve.Last edited by detox; 09-23-2010, 12:44 PM.Comment
