K, Bustits, just ran the beauty and that depth I gave you is still a hair shallow. I ran 4S1P with the Neu 1515 2D and an X438 prop................. 42mph. She handled real nice, could be just a little looser, will add vid when Camel gets done processing. Need to cut way back on steering, she flipped once even. Tried a X640 but actually lost 2 mph. Next step is to go 5S on same prop, see what she can do.

deep is relative. The bottom of my strut is now at the same depth as the sponsons (7/8"). Have you run a hydro yet? You need to go try it.

Remember, depth controls the rear, angle controls the bow. If she runs too wet, angle it up (and vice versa). If she cavitates too much drop her down. If her back end is all over the place and doesn't tighten up in the turn, bring her back up a touch.

Its a trial and error thing. Depends on your COG, total weight and water conditions. Hydros are the most touchy to adjustments, so do one at a time until you start to get the feel.

So, talked to dad today (has same hull) and he was whining about how many little teeny tiny pieces of hatch tape he ends up using.... I keep telling him to go sub hatch. You thought about this? as that cowl wraps around the snout, you got a water entry challenge. You gonna go sub hatch or complex curve friendly hatch tape?

Dude, green? AND CF? I can't take it - this is looking righteous! gonna have to find some excuse to come to jupiter and roost it up with bustit.

I used that CF you gave me in the Miss Elam and she is one happy camper - did you do all that CF there? very nice. Gotta get her as rigid as possible, you know what they say about a man with a flacid hull?

Wait a minute, wheres the motor? or you gonna have a mouse on a bicycle geared to the drive line? What kind of mouse are you gonna use? and what kind of speedos? 4S - 6S - 10S??? Come on, man details. You give me an update but just a teaser? you gonna pay for that one.

ya no motor yet I'm waiting for the jb weld to harden up on the motor mount and servo mount......me and my son did the Cf we are getting pretty good at it.......the motor i have to start with is a feigao 11xl I am going tot use that himodel esc i got from you with the peter zecca hollow water cooler on it...its the 7s model and I want to try 2 3s lipos in series....anyone suggest a prop to start with?...maybe a carbon k series 45 or 47 mm.......as far as sub hatch i dont think so because the motor sticks up to high....i'm going to seal up all the holes in the hatch including the rear tunnel hole...i moved the stock servo linkage push rod down through the transom

soon as i finish this one I will start the 25" boogieman...no CF needed in that one with the small hull

then wait till you see my sprint cat with the 1527/1y on 6s2p...its either going to run like a banshee on roids or make the biggest explosion you ever heard...I think i'm naming that one "Cat Scratch Fever"
