            Ok, copy that.

Well, couldn't stop. I got my dremmel revved to the max and a big pair of pliers and went to the innards of this poor thing. There were two 1/8th inch ply stringers for the nitro mount - outta here. then took out the radio box and cut back the stuffing tube to the minimum. Now I retrofitted the stuffing with 5/32" K&S for the wire drive and gooped it up with JB weld.

This arrangement allows me to put the motor in the cockpit and batteries either along the drive line, or stuffed up into the sponsons. I am thinking of adding some floatation to the sponsons also to keep the batteries firm.

I may replace the cheesy ugly strut bracket, but wanted something tight up against the transom.

rest of photos. notice how much lower profile the stuffing tube is and more flexibility I have in strut height and angle - I will be adding a piece of 3/16" to link up stuffing and strut. I don't think I should get into trouble with my wire being over 12" long. I don't think I could get away with this using a cable, no matter how lubed it was.

I will be adding some fiberglass to the floor cuz its kinder floppy now, need it quite a bit more rigid.

I had one of those hulls too. Finally gave it away rather than face the daunting task of opening everything up so you had room for the lipos, etc.

I just got em stickers on. needless to say I just got me a new digicamera, so been shootin every angle. My wife is starting to wonder... Rather I think this is damning evidence on my part.

Thanks Nate, I need to get some of that cf action goin like you been doin. Might end up goin fiberglass... never dun cf and don't got nun.

Daunting, yes. but with dremmel in hand and no fear... I tore into her! She is happy now, all that crap cleared out. kinda like a tonsil removal... except a little less blood.

eboat, where is your COG now on that? I had it sittin like that at one point and still could do it that way.

How is the Miss Viva Las Vegas? or are you playing too much with other toys? What did you do for the strut?
