    float test turns to shakedown

Hey guys, I must say thank you to all who have participated in this build, provided input and encouragement as well as all who have followed.

I took her out this afternoon to do a "float test" and since she passed the test, I decided it was time for the shakedown test. I wouldn't call this the maiden voyage yet cause she didn't really go very far. She did prove her prowess and I am amazed at the success of this shakedown.

I tooled around for maybe a minute or so and after I brought her in and opened her up, motors were 85 F, ESCs 115F, batts 110 F. I ran on 4S1P each motor with 4800 mah and 25C. I used up maybe 15% of the juice. Egnegs X442s props, Jeff's drives and couplers, Peter's mounts, and the near donation of the hull from Camel have really come together into a fine piece of art - that will haul balls and keep them on the wall!!!

Here are some quick shots (forgot to change light setting so they are blue) and a short vid.... bet you can't wait for more???

    Tomorrow baby!!

thanks, I don't think I even got her 3/4 throttle. I am psyched for tomorrow. Will be taking my 5S and 6S packs... I knew it, if I didn't sell those 6S packs before flying, I mean driving this princess I probably wouldn't ever sell them. If I get any sleep tonight, I am sure I will be dreaming of her flying across the water - watch out ducks!!!

Looks real good Jesse , really looking forward to full tilt boogie . Been meaning to tell you that the white and black gives your boat a real bad a$$ look . I like my boats to look very intimidating before they even run

Jesse, Congrats on the completion of the build. I'm 15 years old and you now inspired me to build my Titan 40 with the same care and detail that you used while building your intruder. I can't wait to see the video.

Man I dont know about running 6s on the 442 to start out on.. have you got two 440's....

I thought about running 6s on mine but on the safe side with an x440. Just checking.

I hope all goes well on the run tomorrow. Good luck man! Looks great.

Glad to hear it Tom, patience and attention to detail really do pay off in the end. My two brothers (7 & 8 yrs older) rush everything and it shows too.

Nate, I have run one of these motors in my 26" mono on 6S with a K42 and after several minutes of terrorizing the pond at 50 mph, temps were all very nice and battery consumption was at about 25%. This is the reason I chose this set up.

442 prop selection has nothing to do with the fact that Octura right hand props are made in a wide variety of sizes.... that is 430, 442 and 447 ...... If anybody knows of any other brands that make other sizes please let me know.

That said, I will be starting out with 4S, then 5S and if all goes well........ 6S
