depends how its structured and assembled, i plan on finishing in carbon fiber potentially or some sort of other marine rated finish. i can stand on my sponsons and they have zero deflection and or cracking from my body weight.Comment

Block sanding and dry guide coat, flexible bumper filler.
First coat of high build primer then some light sanding.
Second coat of primer and starting to fit the cowl
Probly do two scoops instead of one, I think it looks better plus the boats going to have twins.

Hi Keesey. Glad to see another 3D printed hull. I printed a 72" cat that I'm working on now (16 pcs for hull, 10 pcs for hatch). I'm in the process of prepping for paint. Using automotive body filler but very unhappy with the way it is working. The stuff is super difficult to sand smooth - waited too long and it basically polished (80 grit paper) so tried sanding after a few hours and really wasn't much better. Loads up my sandpaper right away.
What did you use for filler? Any tips to make this go better for me? Looking for threads that may tell me how to do this. Must still be guys who need to do bodywork on their builds?
Good luck on your boat - I'll be following you along!Comment
