The original TP 4070 was 1650kv. That's now in my RSX380, running on 8s, SAW runs only, lol...

        Sam,
Any chance you will go back to your best 6s pass set ups with either Neu 2050 or TP 2100 and compare speeds with the esc you used then to now with the hydra x8s, be interesting if the hydra is making a difference.

Ooh, great question! Be easy to do with the Neu motor, just pop the 6s lipos back in. I'll have get around to it. Takes a little time, waiting on the weather...

Just saw your 114 MPH saw run video:

              you used a tp 4050 2580 KV, on 6S (57K RPM)
              what prop?

On the prior SAW run, you used a Neu 1515 40x70mm 2050kv 2D motor on 8s. (60K RPM)
              ABC 1921-19-38(2) CLL prop
              111 mph

What prompted the motor swap / system voltage drop from 8s to 6S

Just curious if you have read the ESC to see what kind of current that setup is pulling and what the ripple voltage is? My JAE was around 190 amps at about 92 mph with a Castle 1515. I know it has a lot more in it, just haven't had the time to play with it.

Both the 111 & 114 mph passes were the ABC 1921-19-38 prop. I swapped motors because the TP Power 4050 SVM series 2580kv motor is the replacement motor I bought after my TP 4050 2310kv motor failed. I'm testing it for another JAE 33FE I'll build this winter...

Lol! I'll bet it didn't take much convincing. Zippkits riggers all run so great. Good luck with her...

Sorry, no. I've never used data logging. By the temps it comes in at, I would guess it handles it fine. Off camera tuning the boat I've done as many as six passes and temps were slightly warmer. None over 113 degrees. Drained a 5300 mAh lipo down to 3.84 volts per cell...

I got around to checking the Data Log. Here's some numbers and I have some questions.

                          These are all max numbers...
                          -209 amps
                          -7,705 watts (edited)
                          -57,674 rpm's

They're all pretty extreme, right? Will my electronics hold up?

                          Specs on my electronics-
                          - TP Power SVM series 4050 2580kv motor
                          - Castle Hydra X 8s ESC
                          - Pair of SCM HCL/HV 4s lipos/ 8s in series

I keep a close watch on temps and volts...
                          - ESC 104 F
                          - Motor 118 F
                          - Lipos 100 F
                          - Connectors 99 F

All fairly cool temps for the application. Is this any indication that it will hold up? This was after three SAW runs...

All you serious (aka sick, lol!) SAW run guys feel free to chime in!

Oh, btw all this data is from my latest 119 mph SAW run with the JAE 33FE. I'll share the link below...

                              thats not right. 10s?
