    Oval Master Refurb

The title says it all, I'm on holidays now and the racing season is over for the year. The ol' reliable OM has a few battle scars so I thought I might give it a bit of a birthday

The whole boat has been comletely stripped and at the moment I am applying a 2pac polyuretane coat over the CF on the bottom of the hull (bling factor).

The pics below are without the clear coat, its pretty warm here today so I'll get a few coats on and post more pictures later today.

Good stuff Jim! The carbon will stiffen it up immensly. Nice deck scar BTW!

I'm doing the same with my OM26. I rubbed the paint back on Sunday, but I have to wait for my new decals to arrive before getting too far into it.

Looking forward to going head-to-head against yours next season!

Whats your drivetrain of choice in these OM26's?
My prop hasn't been wet in a while.

        Thanks Scotty

What decals are you getting for the boat ?

Looking forward to going head-to-head against yours next season!
What class are you running your OM in, Club or restricted ?

I can give you that trick prop of mine to use

Whats your drivetrain of choice in these OM26's?
When you say drivetrain are you referring to the hardware or shaft setup ?

            Not too sure about Scotty,
but I am running a Proboat motor and speed controller to comply with our clubs restricted mono class for next year on 4S. I am using Solinger hardware, best gear to use for this sized boat

Very nice! You can do the carbon work on my boats from now on!

I'm getting some Casey Stoner decals, already have a set of Ducati ones at home. Got the red paint on the weekend, so it should be pretty bright.

Will be running it in Restricted with a Proboat motor and SV27 ESC. Not sure of prop yet, will need to do some testing

                Calcagno,
Mine has Fuller's hardware on it. Been a good performing boat for about 4 years now, but needed some touching up. I'd probably get the Solinger Mono hardware now though, it's good stuff.

Glossy inside won;t make it go any better Jimmy, I would be concentrating on making sure the water hoses are on correctly. LOL

FYI Trev, at least I'll feel even better when I pass you down the back straight knowing that the inside of my boat is more glossy then yours

Ebay is actually a good source. That's where I got my last two lots from - just serach for the decals you want, and somone probably makes them.

Now Jim, how's the progress going??
