Motor is a Proteus (same size as Castle2028) which I went with 600kv and on 12s. I had a Flier 300 amp 16s ESC around so that is what I’m using. Currently I have a 455 prop on it and I am thinking 50mph and 8mins of runtime on 8000mah would be nice but we shall see. This is my first big single V hull.

Not my last tho, I have 4 AC Boats hulls in this size and one Delta Force 47”.

Just a suggestion, would epoxy mixed with micro balloons for sand ability be a more durable filler?

If I was going for max strength I would just use epoxy but it’s a PITA to sand. The bulk of that in the pic is ‘bondo’.
It was recommended by a friend and I must say I like it. You can get it set with hardener so you can sand in 15mins. Quick job for a larger area!

Bondo is what i have been using for any straightening on my DV-60 as well.... easy to work with and easy to sand... and weatherproof (gotta love automotive products)

Hey Ray, how have you been. Been awhile. It had a good concave hook in the bottom (also water intakes but I left them). They are pretty old hulls so depending on how they are stored they can distort. Does the one you can snag have the hatch too? It took me some time to find that.

I'm on a positive upswing lately, hope you are doing well too?

No idea on the hatch, I could ask.. what power/ speeds can this hull handle?

I had put a Proteus motor in mine and I?m pretty sure it was heading on 60mph. The Proteus was physically bigger than a 2028. 600’ish kv and 457 prop
