I had one eat up a hull a bit, I did not realize it was from the liner though. This is my first 8S setup so I dont need anything like that going on...tks... DJ

Thanx DJ, The servo is a KST servo I found them a while back and they're a killer servo. Waterproof, Billet, and this one is 291oz. @ 6.0v The Heli guys use them a lot. http://www.ebay.com/itm/KST-DS2509MG...item5afdb87ccb NO LINERS, THEY MELT @ HIGH RPM!!!

Thin wall teflon, non smooth curves in brass, compressed(torque twisted) flex causing wear/hot spots are all bad ..
I run teflon successfully in all my 12S setups ..lotsa lube and zero problems.

DR., I think the difference is when the driveline loads up in the turns at WOT. That's the highest amp load and Tq. to the driveline.

I can see doc downunder spinning in the wrong direction while he is trying to turn I guess they dont turn in OZ, of course with these Drag Hydro builds we are not too concerned about turning.... DJ

Cool, tks for link bud...I might have to give one of those a shot... I think there is always been a bit of a debate on alot of how to setup FE boats, from liners, bends etc... I think its just what works best for how you are personally setting up your boat...not that I dont pay close attention to what I'm told, but I also have to try different ideas for myself too...I'm just like that !!

Sorry guys for lack of any progress. I been busy, selling, packing and shipping boats. So I could get the Vehicle I been shopping for over a year now. I finally got it a Nissan Xterra 4x4 I will be getting back to work on this hull very soon. I did get the Motor mount, its the Kintec xl 2. I'm impressed, I got the aluminum version. I also got the stuffing tube. The only thing I am lacking now is the flexshaft. The strut is getting modded, its going to have sealed bearings. There wont be any slop in the strut now.

David @ Hyper sure doesn't get in any hurry, I just got a answer back with the price on the CF hull. I sent him a note back saying I want to order one, let's see how long he takes getting back this time..

Ya know DJ as much as I hear people B---h about Turnigy Nanos and the A-Spec Nanos, I've got 2 Pair of the A-Spec Nanos 10s 5000mah and 2 pair of regular 10s Nanos in 4000mah and some 6s and 4s Turnigy packs. I've had zero problems with any of them, I'm probably not the kindest to my packs I beat them pretty hard.

Chris, my buddy Sean and I have been running the same Turnigy Nanotechs for over 2 yrs now with zero issues. Like you we run some serious amp hog setups. We have tried some of the "other" higher priced supposedly better and they have all puffed. I'm definately gonna try to get some of those 10S nanos while there on sale. They will go good in my next Drag Hull, again tks to you ! :) This one has twin 10S yelling at me http://www.mhzusa.com/Dragon-Dragster-Boat-m-1714.htm

                                Gone to long

I been way to busy to do anything till this evening. First I filled all the existing holes previously there and the ones I added. I put a fresh layer of cf which I will paint to match the hull. I measured numerous times and drilled once ! The strut is centered on the tub, which offsets it to the transom. It looks crooked in the pics but its not, its because I have not tightened anything up yet....

PS: the cf look is just a mock up of what I was planning on doing....
