Ray, I am REALLY liking what you did with the sponsons! Enough that I would consider modifying the kit to offer this version!!! I won't do it and bite of your style tho. I am really liking it. Its almost an SX335!!! You did the right thing by keeping that extra ply going down the side like you did. That will help keep everything held together very well. I would not worry to much about the 3rd line-up-pin, it should stay together just fine. Nice work. I look forward to the finished pics and how it runs. That should really eliminate any extra lift of the sponson itself. I will keep my eye on this thread! I am really happy to see all the GP series hulls getting built in the last year. They are really making great showings at races too! MikeLaser cut, birch plywood rc race boat kits- WWW.MLBOATWORKSRC.COM WWW.DINOGYLIPOS.COM

I just looked back at the pics....What cowling is that? I didn't pay it any mind as I just started releasing white gel coated cowlings for all my kits (no extra charge, btw...in fact most of my kits just got a new lower price!) and when I looked back, I saw it clearer!!!

Are you going to drill & tap the G10 or use bolts for the transom? NIce job Ray.
I would like to try and do to my sponsons what you did to yours, any chance of you posting that info? I can understand wanting to keep some creative secrets. I'm un-bagging a 265 and 335 today possibly...Nortavlag Bulc
