      Thanks steve.
The Christmas party will be a fun day. Last day of racing in two weeks time. Then it's building boats for next year.
      Cheers.

Great videos. I enjoyed watching both of them and especially the second one , that was some rough water! I love waiting to see you hydro turn at the right side of the screen full throttle , it's like running on rails but you know she wants to slide just a little only if she gets her way, that turn fin is doing its job, and how!
More importantly, it does look like you Australians are having more fun, I am going to get a stick and may be I can pretend to have more fun at least!
Too many boats, not enough time...

          Thanks Tim.
Yes , the turn fin works well. A bit more tweaking & a few more props to try & it will be ready for racing.
It's nothing but fun down here in Godzone.

I'm looking for a bit of help with the layout of gauges in the dashboard of these hydros if anyone knows. Just an idea of what they were from left to right in the attached pics.
And here's a bit of a run at Sippy Downs yesterday with an s240 prop. Things were a bit on the hot side even for my 'touchy feely' standards. I don't use a temp gun. But the guys around me know, that if I say something is a bit hot, it is a bit of a worry.
I'll take a millimeter off the tips & back cut it a bit & see how it goes. Then I'll start playing with the strut to tune it all up a bit to get rid of the tail hopping in the corners.
Sorry it's a bit blurry. Don't know why.

Holy crap Paul, I need to get,on the computer more. Its running real nice! Flat bottom strut? If so, try a round bottom, and deepen the strut 1/8"...Try an X series Octura as well. You are the first one to run one of my ML Lauterbachs!!! Congrats on the great build!

                    Thanks Mike.
Yes, She turned out ok. It was certainly faster than I thought it would be in its first runs. Plenty of props to try yet.
It is a round bottom strut. It does look like I'll have to drop the strut a bit. But I might try moving the weight forward a bit first.

                    DJ.
That noise was a loose prop nut. The prop was vibrating on the dog. So we found out when it was back on the bench.

Would love to see the video DJ.

I sent an email to Jay Armstrong (as suggested by Jim) & asked if he could tell me what the gauges were. I also sent a couple of pics & a link to the maiden run video.
                        What a fantastic man.
I received a full page letter with all sorts of info & pictures of the dash & gauge layouts.
THEN!! I received an email from Jack Shafer, the driver, with more pics & a list of what each gauge was for. Jay had sent my email on to him.
                        Am I happy or what!!
Both men were impressed with the model & Jay has even linked to the video on his Facebook site.

It's been a delight to build. Just a few more finer details to finish off & then get it running right & I''l be happy.

I've got this pack of gauges on the way. Hopefully I can make up the dash out of it. It has plane Car & boat gauges on it in 1/8 scale.

Still a bit more detailing to do yet though.
