My goal was something resembling what you can see in this picture. With some imagination of my own.

Thanks guys. You stopped Shawn?
For the seats, block of wood, carved to shape, created a jig to mark where slots go to simulate vinyl seats. On the band saw added a stop to get the same depth for each cut.Last edited by Ken_NJ; 05-24-2015, 08:51 AM.Comment

Used a Dremel drum sander to round the corners away to give a more realistic look. Also added small gauge wire as piping for the corners.

Added pins and a screw to join the seats together, then glued. Sealed with Z-Poxy.Comment

Painted with International Orange. Some pictures come out grainy online. Looks much better in person.Comment

Dashboard. Parts where made by a retired machinist friend of mine, I assembled it. Gauge faces by Callie Graphics.Comment

There are tiny toggle switches there, they are black so they blend in with the dash panel. And a picture of the dashboard area on the real boat.Comment

Absolutely! Will be nothing like it on the water. Nothing like seeing what resembles a classic offshore powerboat running. I use to watch these race off of the New Jersey coast in the 70's and 80's. What a site it was.
Besides, already had it in the water on 5/17. Looked awesome!Comment
