I have a 34" SC and it runs and handles great. Looking forward to seeing your build.

I also have a hydro that is/was gonna be a fe and in the same place you are. looks to be the same hull only yours looks longer mine measures 34'' Don't know where to start just gonna play it by ear. I guess I'm big on ideas and short on brains. I had an extra cowl so I took the two and am in the process of making one. nothing wrote down just got it in my head how I want to do it. New to this sight and havent figured out how to do the pitcure thing yet. I know how to email pic's. Doesn't look like a lot of work just time consuming. I'm waiting to see how yours goes and maybe copy some of your ideas.

Thanks for the Links Fluid . Bob do you have any pic too share . I have a 2028 coming for this beast its sitting at Canada customs . At this time i'd like to give a big shout out too Brandon Duncan for this motor . The boat came with a 1/4 shaft spun down to 3/16 with a x465 on it . In the market for an ESC for this motor , suggestions here for 10s capable would be awesome . thanks for looking

Bob the pic's look great , i see you have all the pieces too the puzzle . When my motor gets here on Tuesday i will have more of an idea if it will be mounted to the rails or if i'll be using a mount like yours from ose , then the wooden rails will be coming out .

The 34" SprintCat is an awesome FE hull for 6S power. The OP's ideas on power won't transfer well to the smaller boat, but there have been several build threads on your SprintCat 60/80. The most popular build seems the Neu 1527/1Y on 6S2P voltage. Depending on the prop and exact motor speeds from the 50s to 70 are possible.

Thank you very much I havent cut the hull yet all I will have to get is a smaller motor or a bigger boat. Smaller motor will do it. I only have two gas hulls to play with. Could't sell either one to pay for the coast of a new hull and hardware thats why the conversion. I'm done with nitro. What I'd like to end up with is a 70-80 mph boat.

If you are shopping for esc's the swordfish 300 pro may come up. It's a very nice esc but it's a monster in size, the wires coming out the bottom and the double 8ga battery wires both present there own problems when mounting. I am putting this in a 50" mono. I have yet to come up with a way of mounting it and keeping the wires short at the same time. Trying to keep a correct center of gravity with the batteries in position this esc seems to be in the way where ever I think to mount it. Just something to keep in mind is you end up considering this esc. I will find a home it in the boat but other standard type configuration would have served me better. I do like having the 300amp headroom but I get a headache everytime I think about mounting it!

I didn't look up the link for the esc but I was on there website not long ago and saw what I think is the one you are looking at. They had a picture of the software for setting up on a pc and I the program was from Flier. From what I have read they are the same as the alien and fightercat esc's. I don't know if fightercat carries or carried that same model but it may be worth looking into. I know there were big problems awhile back but they may have things sorted out if mbp is selling them. I was just surprised when I saw it was Flier software.
