so there it is!!! Thanks OSE!!! Holy crap this thing fast!!!! The youtube does it no justice and neither did the cell phone camera...sorry for the amature video but it was the best I could do for now.
-SW36 Hull
-custom made motor mount/esc bracket...fits in exact mounting as the nitro motor
-custom made pickup lines mounted off of rudder
-3 cooling lines - 1 for the motor 2 for the esc
-Hydra HV180
-NEU 1521 don't remember which one
-2 TP5000-6sxv in parallel so 6s4p in total to power
-bout 10 minutes of run time as long as i don't stop and have to come on plane again
-don't have amp specs but boat and esc were both 85*F
-battery temp - 92*F
-STOCK PROP - X440 way too small!!!!!
-JR radio gear
-8lbs total weight with batteries...
As soon as I find my good camera I'll be sure to get some photo's up!!! Thanks all that supported! Info was much appreciated. Learned A LOT about this stuff over the last 3 months.

Here's a better video of the boat...just trying to get the batteries out of hibernation though...I cycled them 2x's with my 1010c but they still seem to be lacking. I have only one run on them for 2009 and I hope they come back to life!!!

yo skiis, your shockwave looks awesome, very tidy. I'm just embarking on converting mine and was wondering if you could answer a question? I also have the Hydra HY180 and was wondering why it has 6 connections on the motor side? Have you connected all 6 to the motor or have does it just look that way due to the cable ties? It's not clear from the manual either.

Any help would be appreciated. thanks bud.

Ya i know...manual not clear at all...in the picture is a solderless terminal brick from homo depot...i cut it down a bit and used just the three terminals...connect all the esc wires that r same color to one terminal and then one motor wire to the ajoining terminal...doesnt matter...if it runs in reverse switch one wire on the motor side to reverse...let me know if that helps!

Thats a great idea, I was wondering how to solder such a thick cable into a bullet connector. I presume you just need something that can handle high amps? Just gotta try and find a motor mount and wire this thing up and i should be good to go! Cant wait:)

Look at the picture in the middle of my post from 7/16/2008... You can just about make out the terminal brick that I used. Don't fret so much about the amps because look at the motor wire! It's on 10ga coming out of the Neu motor...So unless you buy some ridiculous motor with like 4ga wire on it then the terminal brick is ok. I've had no problems with it at all. I have checked the termperature of the brick itself and it has never been more than 5* over ambient temp. Motor mount took the longest but with a lil bit of Al and some time u can get it...heck i drilled everything with a cordless!! hence it not being crazy perfect but I'm not so concerned as long as the motor lined up correctly! Plus I didn't build it to sit on a shelf! Hold on to your hat though for the first ride!!! SICK on 6s4p with an awesome runtime!

This boat rocks!!!! I had Shockwave 26 with Castle Creations Sidewinder power pack in it a while ago and was amazed how this little hull was performing. SW 26 was my first boat and the one making me crazy abot boats...

Here's where I am so far. Need some batteries (not looking forward to that part $$$) and some more water pickups, the engine mount, then I can hit the lake!

wow...that thing hauls...and i like all the custom al. work you did as well...i also like how you incorperated the stock nitro mount in the new mount....

cant wait to see another vid once you get those batt's back into proper working order.
