Well I was excited tonight, but now im depressed I finished everything upbut I could not get the esc to communicate with the receiver or my program box. I tried everything I could thing of and then some. Long story short, I cut the shrink wrap off and found that one of the wires soldered to the circuit board that goes to the receiver had come undone. Probably my fault. I took great care in removing the original shrink so I could tidy the wires up and seal the esc so its water proof. Well maybe moving the wires around somehow pulled it loose. I dunno. Guess it'll be a while till I can run this thing now. Gotta buy another esc

Im going to get some solder paste today and try to fix it. The trace pad on the board came up. I can solder pretty good and solder small stuff but this I don't think so. Solder paste may save it.

I would drop it in at a computer/electronic repair shop before getting to far into a messy repair. They can put the trace back down no problem. if you don't have any luck with it I would be happy to become the new owner of it:)

I just bought some trace paint and some conductive glue from radio shack. I was really after thermal past but I might be able to make this work. Good thing its only a signal. Ill let you know how it goes. If this doesnt work I guess ill order some conductive paste. Im not giving up that easy.

That's a good plan. Do they need a touch of lube to push freely.

Nope. Luckily it actually works perfect. The springs keep the orings seated in the groove and it moves freely enough.

Its alive! I glued the receiver wires back to the board and joined the trace to the wire with solder paste. I tested it, it worked so I put epoxy over it. I dont know if itll hold so I have another esc on the way. The plan was to go test it this weekend but I have some side work I had to try and get caught up on. Ive been playing too much here lately so it was time to get my butt in high gear lol. I have one last thing to do. Im making a cf cover for the esc. Prolly get that done tonight. Heres the pics like it is right now.

I just got through making a carbon fiber cover for the esc. Not sure what I should put on it? Its just a plain plate. I already hsve fightercat and a cat logo on the other plate along with a fightercat head on the motor mount. Shoukd I put a castle sticker on it? Leave plain? Peel the head off the motor mount and put a bigger one on the plate? Maybe just "fightercat racing" on the plate? Something else? Maybe cheetah? Ideas???
