with the wires you using, you can move the cap bank no problem, just make sure to solder the wires well.

I removed it completely. It has five caps on the esc already anyway. Im only going to run it on 5s and 6s. It should be ok. While I was at it, I sealed all the circuits in a layer of epoxy to make sure it keeps water out. With my bad driving its sure to see water. Then it will go up in smoke lol. I ordered some more heat shrink for it and I thing im going to double up on the cooling blocks for a little added cooling.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment

BTW, did you ever weigh your hull before and after your inlays?
Just curious.
My cheetah FG original hull weight is 1.232 kg. Once I did inlays, and hull filling in the last step, it is 1.683 kg. I KNOW i have too much resin on parts, but Im ok with it.Cheetah, Super Rio, (Mod) Starship (Mod and sold),Comment

Nah I didn't weigh it. I thought about it but figured it doesnt matter as everything that's in there needs to be in there. Lol. I probably have 50-60 frame worth of epoxy in it if I had to guess. Maybe less as alot got soaked up. I dunno.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment

Last night I ended up figuring my esc situation. I ran it longways, shortened the wires to the motor and like stated above I removed the cap bank. I may put the caps back I just have to do it differently. Im not going to be stressing this esc with what im doing anyway and honestly by the looks of how this esc is built, its overkill. I added another cooling block to it just for extra insurance. May help may not but it makes me feel better lol. All im waiting on now is shrink wrap for the esc and 8ga wire.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment

That made the difference! Lots of room now. Just a little concerned about removing the cap banks in lieu of all the esc problems seemingly everywhere. Any spot you may be able to tie them back in? There just a good bit of insurance but as of now I don't even have a running boat! What do I know! Hopefully you get some good weather and we can see some video.Comment

I dunno. I might be able to tie them back in but I gotta wait till my wire gets here. Ill put them on the side of the esc. The esc itself already has a 5 cap bank on it. Not sure if it really needs it. This esc is supposed to handle way more than what ill be putting it through. Its overkill really.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment
