Clear on top of the decals? Looks so even so looked more like a paintjob, stunning! Love the mesh wire wrapping, where did you get this? What I love with the HPR's is that they have carbon on the inside of the hull, MHZ carbon/amarid the kevlar is yellow so when you put your work inside it doesn't look so complete. Maybe just put some carbon cloth on top with epoxy to get the look maybe?Visit www.customcfparts.com | Custom Boat Building | Custom Carbon Fiber Parts | Custom Graphics | LMT Premium Dealer | MGM Premium Dealer | YouTube | Facebook

This is the boat you had on your video all finished with paint? A little question, in the video I noticed you had some rubbery looking between the prop and the lock nut. what king of material did you use here. Recon its some sort of spacing cuz of the threads were to short on the shaftComment

This boat is also just painted polar ice silver and finished off with decals. The spacers were a slim flex saver and some Teflon washers. Definitely not optimal but I couldn't find anything and didn't have access to lathe to make some custom work. I never tried to cut some thread on the drives but I should...
Anyway, there has to be a much better solution for the drives out there.Visit www.customcfparts.com | Custom Boat Building | Custom Carbon Fiber Parts | Custom Graphics | LMT Premium Dealer | MGM Premium Dealer | YouTube | Facebook

Lol difficult choice. You can use a clear finishing epoxy/resin, the inlay will look awesome but if you haven't done one before I'd practice on pieces of wood or something first it takes some trial and error to get down a method that works. I'll post pics my friend chris on here has done quite a few in hprs, he also completed most of the inlay in my mhz 138 (looked on, and followed his advice for the remainder). I'll post some pics of the inlay in the hour. Nothing wrong with adding an inlay but it takes a lot of time and you have to be careful, these hulls are pure art last thing you want is a pound of resin dried up sitting in the bottom lol. I should add I bought the mystic in the non carbon version. I did an inlay from sponson tips to the transom, took wayyy too much time won't be doing it again.Comment

If your going to add carbon fiber, make add strength to the hull. Covering up the electronics will look nice but adds un wanted weight, traps heat and makes looking for problems a hassle. With the coving of carbon you could instead add a bulkhead plate the stinger mounts and a saddle for the motor and rudder. Looks are important as long as it serves what your trying to do. Getting to a hundred MPH is great. Having the boat take on air and something left afterwards is a real goal. Adding weight to a 100mph boat. It should serve the boat not the eye. I think that you will find that in doing this you will have a much better looking boat in the long run.
I like the TP 5850 idea. The kv of the motor should be based on the lipo count as well as the props .Search youtube and see what works. I like running on 8s and 1200kv. This keeps cost and weight down. I'm new to boats and so I miss things, but I think that your in the right place.
I found these:
adding 10 of these in your boat would help with the power that your using. give a place for the power to go when your backing off the power. Kinda like a wastegate on a turbo.
twissted from speed. Lead, fallow or get out of the way. Copy cats in back of the buss!!!Comment

1050 would be pretty sick on 11s, 12s might be pushing it but idk anyone that has spun the 5850 at that rpm. Maybe you'll be the first and have a 115mph boat? A guy over in germany jurgen went 125mph with a mystic 138 recently. I think it kinda comes down to what kinda packs you have and how many runs you want to get in one day. With the 1050 vs 1000 with batteries and props you'll probably get a close top speed in the end so I would pick 1050 vs 1000 based on how many 5s and 6s packs I have.
I only run 12s because I only really have 6s packs. My boats either run 6 or 12s lol.Comment
