    bomb proof stuffing tube mount

I made the triangle lower piece them locked it in with the upper cross brace. The white that you see is marine epoxy. I like it, It's strong and doesn't run, has a firm body so it holds while drying! If you can't live with white, take a black marker and paint when dry.

    Saddle Up!

I beefed up the rudder mount and will be adding a plate on each side two lock the mount from shifting in a high speed crash. On the inside I have a one piece aluminum threaded plate to lock the whole thing together.

The saddle that this mount can be used because the Genesis 1420 design had the foresite to build a deasent plateform for the rudder mount.
It's short so it's strong and puts the rudder in less turbulent water. But you have to love the room to make a saddle you couldn't move with a hammer!

The last picture shows the start of the new rudder blade that will be bigger. It's made from Kaiser T-6 Aluminum.
When the marine epoxy sets up I will pull the mount so that its not welded in place. I will also file the edges of the carbon so that is takes the shape of the hull.

Is this the same build as your other detailed build thread or are you building another one?

So this thread is just for "highlights" from your actual build thread to show people ideas that they can use in "their" builds, because your designs are different "from" most builds? And "They're" cheap to do also?

weird, would make more sense to revive the build thread.

Twisted I have to say you did a pretty damn good job if this is your first boat build I think you said this right. I don't get it the boat was like finished 3 weeks after buying it months ago has it hit the water yet? Looks to be ready to me

From what I saw of your build twisted, I don't think that you received a defective hull.
That is typical of what you can expect of a boat this size. If you want a layup (virtually) free of defects, you have to go with HPR. MHZ is better than Chinese stuff like the SD, but they still have their defects.

The way mine started with getting a defective hull from fightercat was not how a build should start!!!
And as for the other great builds that are here. I think they should recap on theirs as well, so that you don't have to go thought 20 pages of crap.
I hope that this answers your question.
So the build threads here are full of "crap"? I'm a little offended.
But you're right, build threads should not start off with illegitimate claims and unrealistic expectations. Great job though, I cannot wait to see the video of your high speed runs.

I should point out that I did make a small change in the design I added studs so that the mounting is easer from inside the hull.
P.S. I use marine lithium grease inside on the shafts.
