Aussie F1 FE Tunnels - I know you're out there!

Judging by the fact most of the relevant hardware disappears as soon as it hits our sandy shores, I'm guessing I'm not the only one seeking to find that "fine line" between floating and flying performance.
Nothing is better than achieving the perfect F1 fast electric - hydrodynamics meets aerodynamics with 300 Amps+ thrown in for good measure.
    How are we travelling gentlemen?

I am in Brisbane if you would like any help. I race an ML Boatworks QS370 tunnel on 6s.

        Cheers

The best racers are in Victoria, the rest are in QLD, especially for Tunnel Racing (outboards that is)

And Andrew, you mean you 'try' and race a QS370 :)

Well the best may be in Victoria Kris but certainly the prettiest are in Qld. When are you coming up for a run Kris be good to pick your brain. Lol.

Motor is a Castle 1520/1600kv on a Hyperformance leg and swrodfish 200a esc. All of the parts came out of the states.

              Cheers

I personnally would not go with that boat. Have a look in the foruns around the place and you should pick up a good seconhand one. Or go new and set it up yourself.

Second hand might be the better way dont want to spend heaps on another boat. What speeds does your qs370 get

95-105kmh in race trim. They are a heap of fun to drive. Kris is very much the guru though.

Have I met you before Andrew? Can't put a face to your name is all!

And again, I am biased, but I still think the better lookins ones are down south! compared to your current hull anyway

(my Nitro Hull is pictured in the crap quality photo, my FE setup is almost identicle)

Mulisha, what size hull and how many cells are you hoping to run?

600-800 not sure hull sizes for tunnels. Either 2x3s in series or 5s not going to race it in comps just race mates at the lake

Yes we met at the last nationals at boral lakes and you have made some flex shafts for me. I wasn't racing at the Nats just spectating but you gave me some tips on seting up the 370.

                              Hi Mulisha.
                              Hull is a Hyperformance TX45.
I flew it in from the US.
Like yourself, I couldn't find an F1 design locally made.
                              Price was excellent.
I'm running a 6S setup - Swordfish 300 Pro Plus ESC with data logging.
Launched it last Sunday @ my local lake and easily hit 70km/h at only 70% throttle with
                              an X438 prop.
Motor is a Thunder Power 4060 1800 Kv smooth can to begin with.
It porpoised like crazy until I hit the throttle then sat perfectly and cornered on rails.
RC Boat Bitz in SA have also been very helpful with hardware & running gear.
                              Next stop is some decent LiPos since my last one kind of exploded.;
There's a fine line between floating and flying.
Cheers and good luck - these F1 thingummies are cutting edge.
