Don't waste ur time on the Thunder Powers (my Opinion) go with Entropy, especially when you can get them from DrWayne for good price!

What is your local lake? you heading out to Cherry Lake on Sunday?

Happy to try whatever is currently kicking butt.
I have a good mate into 3D helis big time and he tells me TP make good stuff.
If it's not up to the task - it gets the arse.
Entropy may well be on my "to do" list.
Small world. Just finished a big job in Laverton 'round the corner from Cherry in Interchange Drive.
Thought about it, but didn't care to recover with no recovery gear on board.
Had thoughts of my skin melting off in all the toxic chemicals in the water swimming out....
My local lake is known as RB123 by Melbourne Water.
Just big enough to give me about 2 seconds on full throttle before cornering.
Discovered there's a heap of other RC boat enthusiasts that use it too - some FE, some slimers - all good.
Then there's the private lake with the island in the middle and the walk-across bridge.
      Perfect lake.
How to make a small fortune.... Start with a large one and get into FE boats!

Your 2 second sprint sized lake is bad for electrics..
High current draw for very short periods, followed by slow corner and then 2 seconds hard draw before corner etc will not provide sufficient water flow for cooling esc or motor ..... the packs will experience high draw, no draw high draw no draw.. and no matter the brand of pack you will have nasty heat dynamics there too. ( Burn and learn )
75 - 100% at all times is best IME.

Buy a smaller boat, or find a bigger/better lake.

Drawing only 180 Amps at 2 second bursts - cornering is the same because I don't back down and have the hull to do that now.
Temp is 40 - 60 degrees C therefore no issue.
Got the fastest boat on the lake and I'm only running a baby "dial in" motor.
Next "lake" is the Aus National Watersports Centre's liquid 1/4 mile (aka the Patterson river) - home of the Aus Drag Boat Association.
Doc, I don't have an allegiance to any particular brand of whatever and certainly don't need people blowing smoke up my clacker trying to sell me this or that.
Entropy - Endoscopy.... I'll give anything a go if it has merit.
However, I've spent a lot of money on crap in the past that didn't "float my boat".
I have actually learnt as I've burnt.
About $3000 worth of fried electronics will attest to that.
As a result there are certain manufacturers who's products I will never purchase again because they simply failed on the water.
These here are early days for LiPo pioneers like us living on the edge.

Totally agree, however the local lake is only a test pond within easy reach and being small, makes recovery easy too.
Plus I have to go past the local bottle shop on the way...

Probably because it's easier to setup that way.
                        No external moving parts etc.
I prefer the dynamic of the thrust cone actually being redirected for steerage, rather than just a rudder.
Then there's adjustable trim angle, prop height and distance from the transom with an OB leg setup.
Just a greater scope for dialling in a setup.

Inboards pretending to be outboards are a cheaper thing to setup.
F1 models are built to scale appearance as OBT , although arguably as inboards they perform better.

Kris ( has posted above) is listed as Australia's Outboard Tunnel guru through numerous global forums, FE and Nitro.

I am trying to get into f1 and asking questions and learning how to set up the boat, and you say stupid stuff like maybe your attitude towards beginners is the reason f1 is dead
