thanks guys. yeah I need some open water, and flotation lol.
taking those two things into consideration I think my next day running should be faster.
this winter will be a mystic 113cm or an mmp titus with a 2028 i'm getting bored of building cats...almost.Comment

got some more runs in this morning and will post videos, adjusted the click drives and added some more negative and pushed CG forward. the tp motors are really powerful they're putting a hurtin on my 12s 40c zippy packs, looks like i'll be contacting dinogy eventually their packs seem to really be proving themselves.Comment

Guys,
I am wondering what prop I should use on my MHZ138. I will be using 12s on each motor 730KV ( Proteus skyrc). Total weight would be under 12 kg maybe 11.5kg fully equiped with esc and 4x 6s lipo. I was thinking of using x457 L&R rotating. Good choice or smaller?Comment

Sounds good to me the 457 prop is easy to spin with 730kv motors. The mystic 138 is a nice boat very smooth running.Comment

730kv on 12s with 457 is a very nice sport setup. Remember it's 730kv unloaded, so more like maybe around 680 under load. you're in the very early 30k RPM so expect around mid-high 70's MPH with those props. A higher KV motor around 850kv on 12s would get you into the 90's (slightly tweaked props). Just depends where you want to be in speed. If you can, test the setup with a set of 447's and make sure the boat is running smooth before you mount the 457's. The TP motors Mike just installed are a brilliant choice if you don't want to spent a smaller fortune.Visit www.customcfparts.com | Custom Boat Building | Custom Carbon Fiber Parts | Custom Graphics | LMT Premium Dealer | MGM Premium Dealer | YouTube | Facebook

thanks kent i think i made the right choice lol. will be running again this morning. i would also go with what kent said try out the 447 props first and make sure the temps are ok and nothing weird happens.
the tps can be had for like 180 bucks on tppowerusa.com not a bad deal. those proteus motors you have are pretty long i think, they'll have no problem making the boat move and spinning a big prop when you're ready. i originally built this boat with 730kv motors everything stayed cool and run time was greatComment

thanks man yeah its been pretty time consuming to get it running the way i wanted to but im happy with it. you have the hpr 115 right?
