Got to the point I decided to try and make some bullet-proof drives. Similar to the click drives. Not trying to copy but its a good platform for ensuring drives. And I will be able to hone my skills for the upcoming winter builds.
These are going to be the driveshafts. 3/16 cable will be loc-tite(ed) to the stainless steel shaft. They are 5/16 stainless shafts that will be slipped inside a full bodied brass housing cross drilled for grease slots. That will be housed inside aluminum stinger. Brass bearing another words. The brass will be cheep and easy to replace. This is the first time I've had the pleasure of working stainless. Now I know experience is something I wish I had. Slow and lots of coolant!!! (I actually did read up on how to machine stainless!!! Usually I mess up then read the directions!!!!).
