Uhh, in that video I think I had the 5018 3 blade stock cnc, polished, b/s. she really runs nice, I'll work on getting some video when water is flat. I ran 5218 also, I couldn't believe I had to lift the stingers about 1-1/2mm just between the 50 and 52 props, but it did also go airborne with that adjustment too. So maybe too much up. I did install a small air dam, just thought it was time to. I I remember right the 103 passes were with 5018s and I didn't get a mph on the 5218s, that's when she took off, well mph on that was 99, at least take off speed. And that was almost four min of full running. (Well not full but pass after pass).

You're spinning them inward at this point, right?
If you go to a lower lift prop like a 2 blade octura (I think you may have mentioned that?), expect to move the stingers down a bit. Those 5018 3 blade (and of course 5218 3 blade) create a lot of transom lift when turning inward.

Yes they are going inward. And the octuras,,, well they are starting out as 457's. I'm working on a bunch of them. But the propshop has me looking everytime I get done with one. Lol,,,, a few more times out with the 52's to get some more data and ill start playing with them. Trying to figure out what she will be capable of pushing to the limits. Data is coming back as acceptable running in my eyes, spikes were just over 200 amps and settled below 150, motor temp was a little hot, and high rpms but showing room to push it :)

If we end up with a 30 minute window at night like we did in the spring, you kind of just have to put a setup together and hold on.

What props are you running in the vid (totally cool if you would rather keep that to yourself...just curious as I recall you saying 5018 FC, but they sound like 2 blades).
Hey Keith, I was looking around on some guys saw boats, like cat power for sale. A modified front spoiler that was integrated into the hull. Would that be legal for competition? Not adding any length, running surface, ride pad, ect. Reason being I'm going to start getting into those two blade props and up the speed and I'm thinking of mounting some small simple blocks of aluminum with a slit into it on either side of inside forks. Then I could add different sections of say balsa or thin basswood at different lengths and angles. It a flip happens the wood breaks no big deal, hull integrity keeps intact spoiler breaks. I do have a piece of windshield wiper underneath as of now.

I wouldn't think it would be an issue, but it's best to check the rulebook yourself and make sure. I took someone else's word a couple years ago and didn't get the record because of it.

Forgot I had this video. First one is not good, it was first bit of testing on 8s. It was when the cooling line came off and killed the esc

And this one was the aftermath.

X2 man, im a fabricator/welder and the craftsmanship and attention to detail on this thing is staggering. i would definitely not have the patience or time to pull this off quite yet. also thanks for all the info on laying carbon/kevlar, im in the process of building a blackjack 29 hull with carbon/kevlar inlay and reinforcement because my seams split on the first hull. nice job man and those motors are sick

Everything is looking good right now!! This is what I use for taping the garmen GPS down. It's a roll of carpet protector. Pretty stickey and flexible stuff, better than duct tape. I'm going for 110mph, don't know but gonna try.

Darn, was running just a little too wet. I dropped the stinger some because she was taking flight. Guess I put them down too much. Oh and lost a flex cable. I don't know why, but it might have been loaded up with seaweed. Came back in covered in it.
