Thanks, in the last pic you can see the gem shift, from head-on view, the side of the left sponson. It's a little purple, thats the color shift. There is no purple or blue on that side of the room to give that hue. It shows up very little but on extreme angles. Once the clear coat is on spec sheet states it will show where sprayed. (It's not black on yellow, but a very dark blue - lighting with camera doesn't help). So far I have used a $20 small spray gun from grizzley tool. The other stuff I used a badger 150 airbrush. (And have a bigger tipped one from harbor freight ).
Alan- a vinyl plotter is the cutter/printer used to cut vinyl for signs, letters, stencils, you name it, it cuts it! Ever see the stickers car dealers have to plaster on a new car (usually small) with their logo or name on it mostly on the back somewhere? Well that's cut from a vinyl plotter. I decided to get one for work as I could save money by doing my own stuff instead of paying someone to. And I thought I could familiarize myself with it by cutting some stencils, decals, ect, for the toys. :). And of course if I first use it for the toys the wife always thinks that's the only reason I got something. (Usually right :). )
