I run these shafts in my 41" zonda with motors that are almost this size, and as long as they are one piece shafts you should be fine.

The answer is in the reply #41 Lenny.

The gold flexshaft on the left looks stronger, do you know the brand?

            Thanks

I just got two flexes from Octura that look the same, Is that what you have?
I've used Octura forever and always will. Not worried about one breaking at all.... Until it happens!!!

Don't hold your breath, something tells me this boat won't ever be built. Its a shame this thing would look great on the water and its a cool setup.

OK, forget about when the boat will be build for a moment, I got questions with the appearance of the cables, if they are from the same maker, why do they look so different? I also had on that had a single darker strand spiraling thru out the length of the cable.
Also, if you look at the brazed part, the top one is kind of bumpy, I had ordered one too and it is even bumpier, guess the silver solder was not perfectly smoothed out , it is well made but would it affect balance?
BTW, if they are from different makers, I still want to learn, so I will be very grateful if someone cares to answer here, sorry to go away from topic for a moment.
                            Thanks,
                            Tim

I know with some wire rope manufactures they use a single strand of a different color to mark their ropes. Also some manufactures don't make right hand lay ropes is all sizes, so they could be from different places.
